DETROIT 2022

  • Requesting A Mail-in Ballot

Michigan voters may vote-by-mail without an excuse. You can fill out the mail-in ballot application and return the form as soon as possible to your local county executive officials by November 4, 2022 at 5 PM.

    Returning Your Ballot

Michigan voters have two options to return their mail-in ballot:

By Mail: Your ballot must be postmarked and received by your county executive officials by 8 PM, November 8 to be counted.

In-person: You can return your ballot to an absentee ballot dropbox in your county or your local clerk’s office any time before 8 PM on November 8.

Find your nearest drop box location or local clerk’s office on Michigan’s voter site.

  • Michigan voters may vote at any Early Voting Location in their county starting October 17, 2022 until November 7, 2022.

Check Michigan’s voter page to look up early voting locations by county and poll hours.

  • Vote in-person on Election Day from 7 AM until 8 PM at your assigned polling place. You may still cast your ballot past 8 PM as long as you were in line before then.

Find your assigned polling place on Michigan’s voter page.
